William (2006 JBS alum) graduated from Miami University (Ohio) with a bachelor degree in Urban and Regional Planning in 2010. During his senior year at college, he accepted a job offer as a Manager Trainee for a Cincinnati based company named Cintas.
While working in St. Louis, William began training for his second Men’s Health Magazine’s Urbanathlon, a 10-mile obstacle course through downtown Chicago. It was not long into his training that William realized his passion for fitness could become a career. After spending months preparing for his strength and conditioning certification, William passed the National Strength and Conditioning Association’s (NSCA) CSCS examination and left his job at Cintas. He spent the rest of the summer interning at Nutriformance, gaining valuable experience from working with their trainers and managers.
In the fall of 2011, William took over as supervisor/personal trainer of the fitness studios for John Burroughs School’s Health Club. William was named the Director of the JBS Health Club in July of 2014. In addition to his HC responsibilities, he teaches Physical Education, coaches the middle school football and baseball teams, calls the offense for the JV/C football team, instructs high school fitness, and helps out with JV baseball team.
William believes in setting reasonable, yet challenging, long and short-term fitness goals, then devoting time and effort to achieve them. “Whether you are training to reach a peak level of fitness to compete in a sport or race, or just training to live a well-balanced lifestyle, we will accomplish those objectives together.”
